Midwest Dance Collective (MDC) is a semi-professional concert dance company. The company was founded on the premise of giving dancers from 11 to 27 years of age the opportunity to share the gift of their talent and passion for their art with other performers, artists, and audiences from diverse backgrounds. Unique opportunities to grow as a performer and artist are provided through concert performances, lectures and demonstrations, guest appearances, volunteer work for various charities, and dance festivals.
MDC’s philosophy of welcoming dancers from many surrounding areas allows for students to maintain studies at their home studios while enriching their dance education. MDC’s season begins in July with special summer training programs and runs until March. Rehearsals typically fall on Sunday for Senior Members and Monday evenings for Junior Members. Company Class is mandatory. Required tuition is used exclusively for Company. Midwest Dance Collective auditions are
held in July.
